In 1995 Mr. McDonnell and Elizabeth Adels, Esq. founded what is now McDonnell Adels & Klestzick, P.L.L.C. specializing in personal injury fraud, general liability defense, reimbursement actions, insurance coverage and appeals. Since then, Mr. McDonnell has tried personal injury, insurance coverage cases and recovery actions in both Federal and State Court, making McDonnell Adels & Klestzick, P.L.L.C. one of the premier law firms in New York in the area of insurance coverage and No-Fault law. The firm has been at the forefront of developing case law on several important issues such as the burden of proof for denying coverage for intentional acts and non-covered losses; identifying fraudulently incorporated professional corporations; and parties’ rights at examinations under oath. He lectures regularly before professional and industry groups and insurers.
Mr. McDonnell has represented insurers throughout his career. He attended law school at night while working as an investigator for Equifax.
